Fast forward until the 3rd episode. It’s very hard to decide whether or not I will give Glee a positive feedback. I did enjoy all the songs and all the performances. Lea Michele and the rest of the cast showed great acting and musical

skills… but plotwise, throw in some Grease and High School Musical into the mix and you’ll have the perfect Glee Mixed Green Salad. Yes, it’s more mature and the songs are definitely more vulgar, but the storyline is no different form the other stereotyped movies mentioned. There’s the girl hoping to be loved by the popular jock. And, kaboom! They found each other through music! Though the charcter of  Matthew Morrison–Will, the glee club mentor–is the main star of the show, his plotline travels along thehighway of desperation and “spouse-escape.” He has the very obvious blooming relationship with a co-worker (Emma) that might eventually end up his marriage with the very annoying Terri.

I don’t know what could happen next in the future episodes of Glee. But I sure know it wouldn’t be very surprising. The show will not disappoint you very much if your take it, always, on the lighter side of things and just simply enjoy the music. I’m still waiting for the “heart and passion” thing one cast member mentioned during an interview. Show us what passion and heart is, and that doesn’t stop if the Glee club wins the Nationals. Get the picture, Will Schuester?

I was able to watch the first four episode and I’m happy to say that it definitely exceeded my expectatiions. The shots were all great and the acting was top notch. Kudos to Joshua Dionisio (young Cholo)  and Barbie Forteza (young Jodi) for doing a job well done. Last night’s (Thursday, Sept. 17, ’09) episode may be the best YET. The last scene will make you fidget in your seat — wanting Cholo to turn around and still wait for Jodi (who’s already in the airport hoplessly looking for him) before he leaves for the US. And when they did meet,  you can’t help but sqeal the glory of success. The slow-motion effect the director/s added made it more heartfelt.

I sure hope tonight’s episode will be as great!

One thing that worries me, though. GMA has the reputation that only the first and last weeks of the show deliver the high quality drama. I observe that they usually put in inadequate effort during the middle parts.

GMA also has casting problems. Unlike their rival station, GMA tends to practice favoritism. I never saw Rhian Ramos coming.

I was hoping for the likes of someone MUCH OLDER than her. She did well as Lolita in Zorro but to play Jodi is, sad to say, out of her league. I do hope she will do her VERY,VERY BEST to live up to the high expectations the first week episodes had imposed to the audience. Plus,  she’s reprising the role of one of Korea’s top leading actress, Choi Ji-Woo.

She (Ramos) must, in all of her efforts, prove me wrong about my judgement. Stairway to Heaven is one of the MOST beloved Koreanovelas here in the country and I sure hope she wouldn’t be the one to destroy it. I advice that she must change her teenybopper persona to successfully play the character. One more thing, she and Dantes must build a chemistry. From my point of view, they look like siblings, not lovers.

The “adult” episodes will begin airing next week. I’m crossing my fingers!
